Digital citizenship
"Digital citizenship can be defined as the norms of appropriate, responsible behavior with regard to technology use." ~ Mike Ribble
Target Audience:
My research and poster is aimed at teenagers from approximately grades 7-12. It is specifically for those who use mobile phones and have at least one or multiple social networking sights. Poster Description:
My research on the safe, responsible and ethical use of the internet and technology helped me to chose the subject of Cyberbullying for my poster. Although I have personally never been cyberbullied I know many friends that have. I believe that knowing some of the facts and statistics about cyberbullying will better prepare children and teenagers for this cruel epidemic. Also knowing which social networking sights it takes place most on will help prepare teenagers. I have also provided the phone number and some information of the kids helpline where those who are cyberbullied can get some confidential support. To create the poster I went into the Technology Toolbox and selected the Piktochart program as I feel this was the easiest to navigate. It was straightforward and simple to use, but still included great graphics and templates.
